Bundler App Alternatives: 6 Shopify Bundle Apps Compared
Searching for Bundler app alternatives usually means one of three things. Your current setup no longer fits your offers or your theme, you want one tool to replace several, or you want to see what else exists before committing. This guide helps with all three. It focuses on how to compare options, not on declaring a universal winner.
A note on transparency: Moon Bundles is our app, and it is one of the options below. Details about other apps come from the public Shopify App Store listings as read on August 31, 2026, or are kept to general functions, and we say where each competitor is the better choice. Plans and limits change, so confirm them on each listing before you decide.
What Counts as a Bundler Alternative?
Bundler is a product bundles app for Shopify. An alternative is any app that can take over the job your bundle app does today, and that job is rarely just “create a bundle.” It combines several smaller jobs:
- Offer creation: fixed bundles, mix-and-match sets, quantity breaks and volume discounts.
- Offer placement: product page, cart drawer, or after the order is placed.
- Discount logic: how the discount is calculated and shown to the shopper at each step.
- Operations: theme compatibility, reporting and support.
Two apps can both be “bundle apps” and still differ sharply on these four jobs. That is why a checklist built from your own store beats any ranked list, including this one.
Compare by Offer Type and Placement
Bundles and quantity breaks
Start with the formats you plan to run in the next six months, not only the ones you run now: fixed bundles, mix-and-match sets, quantity breaks (a better price per unit as quantity rises) and volume discounts. If your catalog needs several of them, confirm that one app can run them together without conflicting discounts. If you are still deciding which format fits, read our guide on how to bundle products on Shopify.
Cart drawer and cart upsell
A cart drawer is the slide-out cart that opens when a product is added, and a cart upsell is an offer shown inside it. Ask whether the app brings its own cart drawer or injects offers into your theme's cart, and whether it will conflict with a cart drawer you already use. That last point is the most common source of migration trouble: two scripts editing the cart can cause flicker or double discounts.
Post-purchase upsell
A post-purchase upsell appears after the shopper pays, so they can accept it with one click and without re-entering payment details. Not every bundle app supports it, and some sell it as a separate app. Our guide to the Shopify post-purchase upsell explains how the placement works.
AI-powered features
“AI-powered” covers very different things. Ask what the AI decides, whether you can review it before anything goes live, and whether you can test it against your own setup. For Moon Bundles it means two concrete things: an MCP connector included in every paid plan, which lets you work from Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini, and Agents that follow your offer results with you and prepare the next tests, which you can start from Claude Cowork. It does not mean guaranteed results.
Measuring the result
Define success before you switch. Average order value is the obvious metric, but it can mislead if conversion rate falls at the same time. Track average order value, conversion rate and revenue per visitor over a comparable period. Our explanation of Shopify average order value covers the calculation and the levers.
The Options at a Glance
Coverage below follows our comparison pages, as of August 31, 2026. “Separate app” means the module exists but is sold as another app with its own plan. We do not list ratings or prices for apps we have not compared.
| App | Best known for | Cart drawer | Post-purchase upsell |
|---|---|---|---|
| Moon Bundles | Bundles, volume discounts, free gifts and cart drawer in one install | Included | Included |
| Rapi Bundles | Bundles and volume discounts, with a lower-priced uncapped plan | Not covered | Included |
| Kaching Bundles | Bundles, with the largest review base in the category | Separate app | Separate app |
| Amose Bundle | Wide scope at a low price | Included | Included |
| UpCart | Cart drawer specialist | Included | Not covered |
| AfterSell | Post-purchase specialist | Not covered | Included |
UpCart and AfterSell are both published by Rokt, and neither is listed on the Shopify App Store since October 2026. Check their current availability with the publisher before planning a switch; the details on our comparison pages are dated and should not be read as current.
Moon Bundles
Moon Bundles combines bundles, volume discounts, free gifts and a cart drawer with upsells in a single install. The free Discovery plan covers up to $500 of generated revenue with one module of your choice. Paid plans cost $19.99, $39.99 and $79.99 a month, each includes all four modules and a 7 day free trial, post-purchase upsells arrive with Essential, and A/B testing across modules with Pro. See the pricing page. Where it is weaker: the top of the range costs more than Rapi Bundles' uncapped plan, and Kaching Bundles has far more public reviews.
Rapi Bundles
Rapi covers bundles, volume discounts, a one-click post-purchase upsell and A/B testing, and it is cheaper than Moon Bundles at the top of the range. It does not cover a cart drawer or free gifts unlocked by cart value. See Moon Bundles vs Rapi Bundles and our guide to Rapi Bundles alternatives.
Kaching Bundles
Kaching has by far the largest body of public reviews in the category and a bundle editor with a long track record, including custom CSS and HTML, multi-currency and multi-language. If social proof decides for you, it is hard to beat. The catch is scope: the cart drawer and the post-purchase upsell are separate Kaching apps, each with its own plan. See Moon Bundles vs Kaching Bundles.
Amose Bundle
Amose lists bundles, quantity breaks, gifts, a cart drawer and post-purchase offers, and its unlimited plan is the cheapest in our comparison. It has far fewer public reviews than the others and does not mention A/B testing on its listing. See Moon Bundles vs Amose Bundle.
UpCart and AfterSell
UpCart is a cart drawer specialist and goes deeper on the cart than Moon Bundles does; it does not cover bundles. AfterSell has the deepest post-purchase funnel we compare, with upsells and downsells; it does not cover bundles, volume discounts, gifts or a cart drawer. Read Moon Bundles vs UpCart and Moon Bundles vs AfterSell, and keep the availability note above in mind.
Other dedicated bundle apps exist on the Shopify App Store. We have not compared them here, so check their listings against the same criteria before shortlisting them.
How to Choose for Your Store
- Bundles and quantity breaks on product pages are all you need: a focused bundle app is enough. Bundler may already do the job.
- You also want cart drawer offers or progressive gifts: look for one app covering those placements, such as Moon Bundles or Amose Bundle, or plan for the cost of running two apps.
- The cart is your only leak: a cart drawer specialist such as UpCart, next to a bundle app.
- Post-purchase is your main lever: a specialist such as AfterSell goes deeper than Moon Bundles.
- Reviews decide for you and you only need bundles: Kaching Bundles.
- Your current app works: do not switch for a layer you do not need. Switching costs time and risks conversion.
Then run a controlled test. Install your top two or three candidates on a duplicate theme, build the same three offers in each (one bundle, one quantity break, one cart upsell) and compare setup time, how the widgets look in your theme, whether discounts calculate correctly in the cart and at checkout, and page speed. Decide on average order value, conversion rate and revenue per visitor over the same period, not on labels.
What to Check Before Switching
- Inventory your live offers: every bundle, quantity break and tier, with products, prices, conditions and where each appears.
- Check how your bundles are stored: some apps create bundle products in your catalog, others apply discounts at the cart. This affects inventory, reporting and product feeds.
- Record a baseline: average order value, conversion rate and revenue per visitor over a representative period.
- Build first: create the new offers on a test theme while the old app is still live, and never let two apps modify the cart at the same time on the live theme.
- Test the full purchase path: test orders for each offer type, on mobile too, including a variant product and a cart with items outside the offer.
- Clean up: remove leftover theme code and app embeds from the previous app once nothing duplicates on the storefront.
Frequently asked questions
Can a Shopify bundle app also support cart and post-purchase upsells?
Some do, but support varies by app. Check whether an offer can appear in the cart or after purchase, and whether the app supports the offer types you need in each placement. Some apps sell the cart drawer or the post-purchase upsell as a separate app with its own plan.
How can I tell whether a Bundler alternative improves average order value?
Compare average order value before and after launch, alongside conversion rate and revenue per visitor, over a consistent period. Account for changes in traffic, promotions, product mix and seasonality. An A/B test against your current offers is the cleanest comparison.
Will uninstalling Bundler remove my existing bundle offers?
Do not assume that uninstalling an app cleans up every part of its setup. The outcome depends on how the app creates offers, discounts, theme elements and product data. Document your active configuration first, then inspect product pages, the cart and discounts after uninstalling, and remove any leftover storefront elements.
Can I try Moon Bundles without paying?
Yes. The Discovery plan is free up to $500 of generated revenue and includes one module of your choice. Every paid plan starts with a 7 day free trial and includes all four modules and the MCP connector. See the pricing page.
What does AI-powered mean for Moon Bundles?
Two concrete things: an MCP connector in every paid plan, so you can work from Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini, and Agents that follow your offer results with you and prepare the next tests. It does not mean guaranteed results.
